Bright, sunny and wonderfully versatile, organic yellow squash is one of those vegetables that quietly makes everyday meals better. With its tender skin, delicate flavour and soft buttery texture when cooked, it’s a favourite for quick weeknight cooking.

Yellow squash belongs to the same family as zucchini but has a slightly sweeter, milder taste. Because the skin is thin and completely edible, there’s very little prep needed. Simply wash, slice and add it straight to the pan.

It cooks quickly, pairs beautifully with herbs, garlic and olive oil, and works across everything from simple sautés to pasta dishes and oven roasts. It’s also a lovely way to add colour and variety to your vegetable drawer.

Easy Ways to Cook Yellow Squash

1. Quick Garlic Sauté
Slice into rounds and cook in a pan with olive oil, garlic and a pinch of sea salt. Finish with lemon juice and fresh herbs.

2. Roast with Olive Oil
Cut into thick slices, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, and roast at 200°C for 15–20 minutes until golden.

3. Add to Pasta
Thinly slice and sauté with garlic and olive oil, then toss through pasta with parmesan and fresh basil.

4. Grill or BBQ
Slice lengthways, brush with olive oil and grill until lightly charred. Delicious with grilled halloumi or fish.

5. Simple Summer Salad
Lightly sauté slices until just tender, cool slightly, then toss with rocket, feta, toasted almonds and a lemon dressing.

• Please have your order in by 3pm the day before your next scheduled delivery day. 
• We will update you via text of your deliveries arrival time and when it has been delivered to your door.
• Please leave out a cold box for any fridge items.
• Delivery is a flat rate of $12 except for orders over $180 then our delivery is free.
• Please note we reserve the right to cancel any orders under $60.

• We deliver in refrigerated vans between 7am and 6pm.
• We will email you to confirm your delivery day.
• On delivery day you will receive a text with an ETA and another on delivery.
• Leave last weeks boxes out and we will collect them.
• No need to be home, our boxes have a lid, Please leave out a chiller bag or cold box for cold items.
• If you're positioned outside our delivery zone, Please email us your location and we will see how we can fit you in.
• Choose your delivery date at the cart page.
• Delivery notifications to your phone on approach and if you're not home a delivery confirmation that its waiting for you.
