Hi ,
We're often asked by our community for simple ways to make the most out of their weekly seasonal boxes. After all, we want to make sure none of that organic goodness is going to waste, right?
Our answer is meal prep.
It doesn't always sound like fun, but when you get the whole family involved to make delicious, nutritious foods, it can be a blast! Plus, it helps you to meet any food goals you may have throughout the week; taking the stress out of cooking each night, sticking to a diet, or simply using up all of that good produce. We think you should give it a try this week!
If you're completely new to meal prep, here are a few tips to start:
Invest in some good-quality glass containers, or re-use your jars for soups and salads.
Try new recipes that make the most of all of your produce (our FreshBox Kitchen Recipe Book is a good place to start).
Prepare a few different meals for the week - that way you won't get bored of flavours and textures.
Date and freeze any leftovers for days when you need dinner in a flash.
If you still like to cook each day, try taking some time to slice and dice your veggies before storing them in the fridge - it saves on time and washing up.
Find a new book to read or hobby to take up with all this time left in your day.
