Organic Ginger 250g

"This organic ginger is grown right here on the Sunshine Coast, by our friends Emma and Michael in Mount Mellum.

Standard in many kitchens and cuisines, ginger is the seasoning that gives life to a host of dishes. Ginger has been used in Asian, Arabic and Indian cultures as a herbal medicine since ancient times. The healing property of ginger comes from the oils, such as gingerol, that are responsible for its strong taste.

Most frequently used to aid digestion, ginger is believed to increase saliva and other digestive fluids, alleviating indigestion and associated problems such as flatulence. It is known to relieve nausea and recommended to those who suffer from motion sickness,and is believed to have anti-inflammatory qualities that may relieve swelling and pain. As a tea it is said to ease headaches and sore throats.

Fresh ginger is used for asthma, coughs, colic, heart palpitations, swelling, loss of appetite and rheumatism. It has been shown to be more effective against bacterial staph infections than antibiotics and it can kill cancer cells. In India, ginger is liberally used in daily life. Ginger infused chai is a household favourite, and its Grandma's medicine of choice to battle colds and flus!"

We deliver across the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane on set delivery days each week. Orders are packed fresh and delivered in refrigerated vans to maintain quality.

You can choose a one-time order or a flexible subscription. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped or changed anytime through your account.

Delivery Notes

• Please have your order in by 3pm the day before your next scheduled delivery day. 
• We will update you via text of your deliveries arrival time and when it has been delivered to your door.
• Please leave out a cold box for any fridge items.
• Delivery is a flat rate of $12 except for orders over $180 then our delivery is free.
• Please note we reserve the right to cancel any orders under $60.

Delivery Tips

• We deliver in refrigerated vans between 7am and 6pm.
• We will email you to confirm your delivery day.
• On delivery day you will receive a text with an ETA and another on delivery.
• Leave last weeks boxes out and we will collect them.
• No need to be home, our boxes have a lid, Please leave out a chiller bag or cold box for cold items.
• If you're positioned outside our delivery zone, Please email us your location and we will see how we can fit you in.
• Choose your delivery date at the cart page.
• Delivery notifications to your phone on approach and if you're not home a delivery confirmation that its waiting for you.
